I have been trying to get started working by 9 AM and finish by 5 PM. That seems to be working unless I have an appointment or some task to carry out. This morning it was trying to get the prescriptions set up on our new medical insurance. I spent and hour on that. So, really, I got started at 10 AM today instead of 9.
I worked on my second rose quartz mandala and finished it today.
There will be 10 black and 10 white Rose Quartz Mandalas. I’m working on smaller things so people have choices in price range.
After finishing the mandala, I started working on Peek Babies R. R is for Rachel who peeked behind a royal rapping rabbit.
I start with a drawing as a guide.
Then I cut out the material(s) for the background. In this case, it is the sky and a grassy hill.
I iron a fusible interfacing to the back and put the material in an embroidery hoop. I also quilted the hill and drew a castle and stitched it in black.
I cut the rabbit out of stiff felt and started stitching him. I was originally going to put a crown right on his head, but then I got the idea to put it at the top of his ear. That’s funnier. I like that better. I cut one out of paper so that I don’t forget I want to do that.
That was it for today. Tomorrow I have a vertigo therapy appointment in the morning and potluck at 6 pm. I’ll try to get some work done between those two things.
