Yesterday I had a doctor’s appointment in the morning, so I got a late start. I worked exclusively on R peek babies. “R is for Rachel who peeked around a royal rapping rabbit.” I didn’t have much trouble with this, but for some reason I wrote the phrase on a slant and the letters sort of went into the castle in the background. That’s why it is always important to use disappearing pens when marking out your patterns.

I was happy to finish that one today. Now, I only have from S to Z. I already know my sayings for S and T, but I need to come up with something for the rest. I usually do that as I get to the letter. After I finish Fragile tomorrow, I’ll go back to the Peek Babies.

Fragile is about how we are ruining the oceans. The pollution that ends up in the ocean affects every living thing. I’m using urchins that washed ashore in Penobscot Bay. I don’t think they died of pollution; I think the seagulls got them. Let’s just say for this piece that they died of pollution. ; )

This is where I ended with this one today. I’ll write about the process in tomorrow’s blog post.
