Be started out with a piece of green burlap that I found in a pile of dirt I got from my neighbor. They were moving their hydrangeas and asked me if I wanted the extra dirt they had. As I was putting it on my garden, I found this piece from a wrapping on one of their plants. It looked to me like a sweater. So, of course I saved it. I also had a “be the change” piece of fabric I cut from a bag that an apron came in. I put them together, and then I thought about the bottom. Since this was looking like a nature piece, I thought of a fairy dress. I used some leaves that I had pressed for the skirt. I used fortune cookie fortunes stitches to the background like mountains. And, of course I needed to bead it!
