Winter Night in Harborside 14″ X 12″ $150
This piece started with a picture of some weeds taken by Bakeman Beach in Harborside, Maine. I wet a piece of white fabric and let one end soak in a bowl of black dye. That gives it an ombre look. It also gives the illusion of hedges in the background. I embroidered some weeds and shrubs in the foreground. The snow coming down is French knots with white embroidery floss, and the snow on the ground is crystal beads.
