Flying Heart 17″ X 16″ $275
Flying Heart was made when I was doing a lot of rug hooking. Since I’m allergic to wool, it turned out to not be a good fit for me. : ) The background is made from ticking and the heart is hooked on burlap. The background is beaded with seed beads and embroidery. The little angel or angle at the top was something I was doing then. I called them angles because the whole pin was made of different sized angles. I put it on this piece because of the content. I made it after a friend of mine got a divorce after two kids and several years of marriage. It was a sad time for her, so this piece was wishing her a light heart.
