I got the ideas for peek babies when I was sitting in a coffee shop in Mt. Hope, Ohio. There was a partition diving the seating groups. I looked up from my book and saw a baby in a pack on his dad’s back peeking at me from behind the partition. I drew an image of him in my notebook and thought I would do something with that someday. Aging with Grace came from a lady shopping at the Dollar Store after New Year’s Day. She was dressed wildly and had all of these decorations on her. Once again, I drew a picture of her and thought I would make something out of it someday. I substituted a walker for a glass of wine and a cigarette. I think Grace would prefer them.
