Description

This piece started with a drawing I did of Albert Einstein. I placed the paper over a piece of material and stitched through the paper. After I finished, I wet the paper and pulled it off. From there the piece grew. I was practicing different embroidery stitches at the time, so I decided to try them out on this piece.
The spirals represent our spiraling world. Things are often not in black and white. We have to consider all of the shades of grey.
